What you'll do As a Back-End Engineering Intern, you will help build and improve platform capabilities and engineering tools that support both onpremises and cloud environments. Projects may include implementing data retrieval pipelines, enhancing CI/CD automation, strengthening monitoring and logging, and developing environment support tooling that accelerates incident resolution. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers to design, implement, test, and document reliable services and workflows, gaining exposure to real production systems and best practices. This role offers hands-on experience with the technologies and processes that keep modern platforms healthy, scalable, and secure. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, Engineering. Responsibility Contribute to the enhancement of CI/CD automation and environment support tooling, such as implementing a CI/CD pipeline for blob management Develop tools to improve system observability, including building monitoring dashboards (e.g., in Kazmon) to track the health of components owned by the CLM Accounts team Assist in enhancing critical engineering tools like PSOTool, including adding functionality for on-demand SQL/Cassandra queries and enabling task resubmission to CLM queues Collaborate with experienced engineers on code reviews, design documentation, and production system best practices Participate actively in the team's Agile sprint cadence, including planning, development, testing, and demonstrating progress Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering Will be graduating from bachelors program by December 2026 or June 2027 Experience with CI/CD concepts and tooling Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative software development workflows Experience with SQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases Preferred Foundational understanding of back-end development concepts (services, APIs, data flows) Understanding of log management, metrics, and monitoring fundamentals Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication Willingness to learn, take feedback, and iterate quickly Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
