Prime Air is seeking an experienced engineer who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. Experience developing cloud services, developer tools, and test frameworks is critical. A successful candidate will be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our research teams. Key job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and infrastructure that enable comprehensive verification of safety-critical ground software systems across 5+ development teams, reducing manual testing effort and improving release velocity

• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, and deployment processes for cloud-based safety-critical software systems, ensuring consistent quality gates and compliance with safety standards

• Master multiple technology stacks to enable proper feature integration, identify testing gaps at system boundaries, and architect verification strategies that span functional domains

• Drive infrastructure optimization initiatives that reduce test execution time by identifying bottlenecks, implementing parallel execution strategies, and scaling testing capabilities to support organizational growth

• Influence testing standards and best practices across development teams by mentoring engineers, conducting technical reviews, and establishing reusable patterns that improve overall software quality

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • 2+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience

  • 2+ years of designing and developing distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: Java, Python or another language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Experience developing or testing safety-critical, high-reliability, or mission-critical systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
