A Senior Supply Planner delivers business value by owning tactical and strategic inventory planning and establishing inventory positions for assigned products to meet customer service, supply chain, and financial objectives. The role works in close partnership with Demand Planning and external planning partners to align assumptions, manage risk, and drive integrated supply plans.

  • Establish and maintain inventory targets and policies based on product lifecycle, strategic value, and demand variability

  • Partner closely with Demand Planning to align assumptions, reconcile gaps between supply and demand, and translate plans into executable supply strategies

  • Collaborate with external planning partners and internal manufacturing or sourcing teams to synchronize plans, anticipate constraints, and drive timely risk resolution

  • Serve as a planning system subject matter expert, independently using planning tools and exception reporting to identify, communicate, and resolve supply issues

  • Proactively anticipate supply disruptions and capacity constraints; lead the development and execution of mitigation and recovery plans

  • Represent the Supply Planning function in cross-functional discussions, clearly articulating trade-offs and impacts across multiple tiers of the supply network

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve planning processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and decision quality

  • Coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities to ensure commitments are met with accuracy and timeliness

  • Tailor communication to the appropriate audience—including senior leaders—translating complex supply scenarios into clear, actionable insights

  • Gather and synthesize inputs from cross-functional partners to deliver aligned, consistent messaging during high-impact situations

  • Build strong internal and external relationships to influence outcomes without direct authority

  • Role model a positive, collaborative work environment and coach or mentor peers, sharing best practices and institutional knowledge

  • Experience partnering closely with Demand Planning to align assumptions and support integrated supply plans

  • Exposure to working with external planning or manufacturing partners

  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply planning processes across different product lifecycles

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority

  • Comfort communicating supply risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to leaders and business partners

  • A collaborative mindset, with interest in mentoring, knowledge sharing, and contributing to a positive team
