Amazon Senior Product Manager - Technical, Home & Lifestyle Innovation Team in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Home & Lifestyle team at Amazon is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Product Manager - Tech to lead a project with strategic significance. In this role, you will build customer-facing shopping experiences from the ground up, designing and shipping enhancements that transform how customers discover, evaluate, and purchase home furnishing products.

You will own the vision, strategy, and execution of product proposals that make discovery feel effortless: solutions that understand customer context, including location, preferences, and intent, to surface the most relevant products with the fastest delivery options while optimizing fulfillment and delivery speed behind the scenes.

A core focus of this role is developing location-aware shopping experiences that intelligently tailor product offerings based on where customers live. You will build agentic AI workflows that autonomously evaluate and execute profitability improvement opportunities, enabling Amazon stores to improve delivery speeds, expand purchase choice, and minimize waste from long-distance shipments. Your work will integrate seamlessly into the Amazon store, empowering customers to discover regionally tailored selection driven by assortment relevance, local preferences, and fast delivery—directly enhancing customer satisfaction while reducing costs.

This is a build role. You will define product requirements for net-new experiences, partner with engineering and science teams, and ship features that operate at Amazon scale. You'll develop expertise across Amazon's agentic AI/LLM capabilities, retail operations, and customer shopping experiences, working at the intersection of Amazon's core AI initiatives and customer-facing innovation. You'll gain strategic exposure through regular reviews with senior leadership, positioning you to influence critical decisions that define Amazon's multi-year regionalization strategy while creating significant opportunities for career development.

The role entails managing cross-functional communication, identifying and mitigating business risks, and decomposing ambiguous problems into workable plans. You will lead execution across multiple teams and partners while owning customer experience programs across North America Stores. Additionally, you will drive 3-year planning and strategy documents, and partner closely with a dedicated team of scientists and engineers to build your product vision.

You will be successful in this role if:

• You exhibit strong strategic acumen.

• You are able to take a complex customer need and transform it into the right product requirements and priorities.

• You love diving deep into data and can roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

• You have good interpersonal skills and you can influence cross-functional teams and dependencies to achieve goals.

• You are comfortable making smart CX vs. time-to-market trade-offs, and ruthlessly prioritize roadmaps to deliver results.

Key job responsibilities

As with every team in Amazon, we work backwards from the needs of customers to bring structure to ambiguous problems. As a Product Manager on this team, you will:

• Set the vision for your product space and outline a roadmap that impacts the customer experience and delivers incremental value to your business.

• Work with business leaders, scientists, engineers, and UX designers to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of infrastructure services and customer experiences at scale.

• Work on a variety of challenging problems that have the potential to significantly impact Amazon’s business and customer experience.

• Manage prioritization and trade-offs for speed to market, performance, and features.

• Gain support for your strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership.

• Create program goals and related metrics, track progress and manage through obstacles to achieve goals.
