Providence St. Joseph Health Senior Patient Financial Counselor - Kidney and Liver Transplant in Seattle, Washington

Description The Senior Patient Financial Counselor is a vital member of the Kidney and Liver Transplant team, dedicated to easing the way for patients and their families by delivering exceptional service during every step of the transplant journey. This role supports patients through the critical process of financial planning for transplant surgery, VAD implantation, and ongoing medical needs, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and confident in their care. Key responsibilities include: Assessing each patient's insurance coverage and overall financial situation related to transplantation and immunosuppressant medications As a core contributor to the transplant program, the Transplant Financial Coordinator provides accurate, uptodate financial clearance information for transplant and VAD procedures, helping the clinical team move patients forward safely and efficiently Additional duties are performed as assigned to support the department's mission and uphold the highest standards of patientcentered care. Required qualifications: Associate's Degree --or-- 3 years of experience in a related field Within 2 years of hire: TFCA certification 3 years of experience in a related field or similar position in a hospital or physician practice Why Join Swedish Providence? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
