Providence St. Joseph Health Senior Facilities Engineer in Seattle, Washington

Description The role performs a wide range of skilled maintenance, repair, and installation work across multiple trades. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, versatility, and hands-on problem-solving ability to support facility operations and infrastructure. The individual in this role works independently or as part of a team to maintain, repair, install, and modify building systems, equipment, and structures to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform skilled work across a broad range of trades, including electrical and electronic systems Conduct sheet metal fabrication and repairs Perform welding tasks as required Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs Complete machine shop work, including fabrication and modification of parts Repair and maintain hydraulic systems Perform plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair Prepare and paint surfaces for maintenance and aesthetic purposes Install, maintain, and repair ventilation systems Perform carpentry work, including construction and repair of structural components Complete plastering work as needed Perform concrete and masonry work Install and maintain ceilings Install and maintain flooring systems Maintain, repair, and service motors Providence Swedish caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Must have successfully completed at least two formal specialized, related training courses 4 years experience in equipment inspection, testing, repair and maintenance of required systems and equipment Preferred Qualifications: Solid background in the use of common and sophisticated tools and systems Why Join Providence Swedish? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
