Job Information

Amazon Sales Operations Anlayst, AGS Business Operations in Seattle, Washington

Description

AWS is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to join the Global Sales Operations team within SMGS. This role partners directly with senior sales leaders to deliver the insights, models, and business intelligence that power decision-making across the WW Rhythm of the Business. You are a builder and a storyteller — equally comfortable constructing a complex Excel or Row Zero model as you are presenting a clean, concise narrative to a VP. You bring a background in sales, sales operations, or finance, and you understand how to measure what matters. You thrive in ambiguity, operate with a high bar for accuracy, and know how to turn data into action across a worldwide, multi-GEO organization.

Key job responsibilities

Own analytical models in Excel and Row Zero that track revenue performance, pipeline effectiveness, quota attainment, and sales productivity across worldwide GEOs and business units

Support the WW ROB cadence by delivering accurate, insight-driven data packs for the Weekly Business Review (WBR), Forecast, Pipeline, and Top Deals mechanisms — ensuring senior leaders have the right data at the right time

Support production of the Quarterly Qualitative Insights (QI) pack, synthesizing quantitative performance data with qualitative narrative to give senior leaders a holistic view of business health each quarter

Conduct deep-dive analyses to measure business impact and effectiveness of GTM programs, sales motions, and operational investments

Define and maintain KPIs across pipeline, conversion, attainment, and deal effectiveness dimensions

Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and GEO Sales Operations teams to align on metrics, data sources, and business priorities

A day in the life

Your morning starts with a pipeline data pull ahead of the WBR — a coverage gap in one GEO needs a same-day explanation for a VP. You build a quick scenario in Row Zero and draft a two-paragraph narrative with a clear recommendation. By midday you're in a Forecast mechanism sync, reviewing line-item actions and team projections to ensure the weekly call is grounded in accurate data. The afternoon is heads-down: refining the Top Deals data pack, validating deal status and movement ahead of the leadership review. Later in the quarter, your focus shifts to the QI pack — weaving together pipeline trends, forecast accuracy, and deal effectiveness into a qualitative narrative that tells the story behind the numbers. No two days are identical, but every day your work directly shapes how senior leaders understand and act on the business.

About the team

The WW Business Operations team sits at the center of the AGS GSO operating model, supporting the mechanisms that keep a worldwide sales organization aligned and moving. We own the analytical backbone of the Rhythm of the Business — from supporting the weekly WBR and Forecast calls to leading the Pipeline and Top Deals reviews and the Quarterly QI pack that brings it all together. We partner with the most senior leaders in AGS Sales, Finance and Operations to ensure every review, every planning cycle, and every growth conversation is grounded in accurate, trusted analysis. We are a small, high-impact team that operates with a bias for action, a deep respect for the data, and a shared commitment to making the AWS field as effective as possible.
