Blue Origin LLC Requirements, Verification, and Validation Lead, MK2 Crew Lander in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As thelead for the Requirements, Verification, Validation, and Certificationfor the Blue Moon MK2 Crew Landeryou willarchitect and leadthe specification and certification of a human lunar lander. You willserveakeyleadonthe Vehicle Systems Engineering and Integration team, leading a team of vehicle and subsystem engineers to specify, develop,test,deliver, and certify a high-performing and safe system.This position will directlyimpactthe history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and attention towards safe and reliable spaceflight. Responsibilities: Lead the definition ofsystem and subsystem levelrequirementsfor the MK2 Crew Lander Architect the approach to requirements verification and system validation Leadthe definition of a comprehensive set of verification and validation activities Manage the certification approach for the lander, including design and construction standards and model and simulation certification Drive execution of the verification, validation, and certification activities across the vehicle MinimumQualifications: Demonstrated experienceleading requirements definition and/orverification planningand executionon a vehicle or complex system. Demonstrated subject matterexpertisein applied System Engineering and Integration, including functional analysis, requirements, verification and validation,andrisk management. Ability to earn trust,maintainpositive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of integrity. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering, computing, or another technical field. PreferredQualifications: Experience withthefull lifecycleof development across one or more space missions Experience performing at least one system-level V&V campaign for a space system Experience performing requirements definition for one or more space systems Experience with human spaceflight systems, safety analysis,and certification Experience with non-traditional approaches to System Engineering and Integration Compensation Range for: CO applicants is $133,500.00 - $186,898.95 WA applicants is $145,188.00 - $203,263.20 Other site ranges may differ Culture Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
