Job Title: Project Manager – Multi-Site Retrofit ProgramsJob Description
The Project Manager leads multi-site retrofit programs for new equipment installations across a large manufacturing network. This role oversees the full project lifecycle for each site, from initial bids and RFPs through installation, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope. The Project Manager works closely with internal preconstruction, safety, and installation teams, while coordinating vendor activities and managing schedules across numerous concurrent projects. The position is primarily remote with regular travel to manufacturing sites to support both upstream planning and downstream execution.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end program management for multiple retrofit projects across various manufacturing sites, ensuring each project meets defined milestones and timelines.
Oversee the planning and execution of retrofit installations for new equipment, coordinating activities across preconstruction, safety, and installation teams.
Manage project scheduling, including creating and maintaining detailed timelines, tracking progress, and escalating issues or risks as needed to keep projects on track.
Coordinate the initial bid and RFP processes for equipment vendors, including reviewing proposals and supporting vendor selection and onboarding.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align project scopes, schedules, and resource needs with broader program objectives.
Monitor multiple sites simultaneously, each in different stages of the project lifecycle, and adjust plans to accommodate changing priorities or conditions.
Use tools such as Excel and Smartsheet to track project status, manage schedules, and report on key metrics and deliverables.
Support launches and retrofits within manufacturing environments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and dependencies to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Travel to project sites to support preconstruction planning, oversee execution phases, and build strong relationships with on-site teams.
Essential Skills
Proven project management experience overseeing retrofit installations or similar multi-site implementation programs.
Strong project scheduling skills, including managing timelines, dependencies, and escalations across multiple concurrent projects.
Hands-on experience with launches or retrofits in a manufacturing setting.
Experience working with material handling systems or equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with Excel for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on project data.
Experience using Smartsheet or similar project management and scheduling tools.
Background in construction, manufacturing equipment, or materials handling projects.
Demonstrated experience leading projects and driving cross-functional teams toward successful completion.
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment with assembly lines that move product downstream.

Ability to manage multiple sites in various stages of the project lifecycle simultaneously.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with preconstruction, safety, and installation teams, as well as external vendors.
Comfort working in a remote environment while maintaining high visibility and accountability across distributed teams.
Ability to interpret and support bid and RFP processes for equipment vendors.
Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to broader program and redeployment strategies.
Work Environment
This role operates primarily in a remote work environment, with regular travel of approximately 25% to 40% to manufacturing sites. Travel typically occurs about once per month and may occasionally increase to twice per month, depending on project needs. The Project Manager supports a large portfolio of sites, with around 25 locations in various stages of retrofit projects and additional sites moving through approval processes. Each site project typically runs for about six months. On-site visits focus on supporting preconstruction teams upstream and execution teams downstream, within active manufacturing environments that include assembly lines and materials handling equipment. Work involves frequent use of digital tools such as Excel and Smartsheet to manage schedules, track progress, and communicate with distributed teams.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
