Plug Power Project Manager, Hydrogen Systems- West Region in Seattle, Washington

Project Manager, Hydrogen Systems is responsible to lead Plug Power's teams inplanning, organizing, supervising,directingand completing all aspects of the executionprocess for hydrogen fueling infrastructure at customer locations. This position will work with the internal Plug Power team(s), the industrial gas companies,permittingagencies, contractors,suppliersand the end-customer to ensure a smooth transition during hydrogen fuel cell deployments.Their primary goal will be to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.The Project Manager will be in acustomer facingrole and will be communicating with multiple key customers through the execution of the project(s).Up to80% travel isanticipatedas needed. Core Duties and Responsibilities Develop andmaintaina detailed understanding of Plug Power products and related hydrogen infrastructure system designs and functionality. Work assubjectmatter expert to manage allfacetsof hydrogen system installations at customer sites. Development, and deployment of Project schedules and budgets with strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines. Strong problem-solving ability is needed with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Coordinate the activities of all parties involved with hydrogen system deploymentsincluding:industrial gas companies,permittingteam(s),design team(s), construction team(s) as well as externalcontractorsas needed. Collaborate with internal project teams as necessary for hydrogen deployments; be proactive in alignment of efforts to achieve project timetables. Provide guidance and technicalexpertiseon project sites asrequired; set expectations for suppliers and contractors in alignment with Plug Power standards. Help tomanage project schedules and resolve problems as necessary to deliver on end-customer expectations. Communicateeffectively with stakeholders, clients, teammembersand upper management, to keep everyone informed and engaged.Status reports and/or regular meetings may berequired. Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all timesand in all interactions. Perform all other duties as assigned. Expectations Will beultimately responsibleforsuccessofprojectand will take over as soon as the opportunity becomes a confirmed project. Shallmonitorthe status of the project schedule and adjust as needed. Will be expected tomonitorproject deliverable status and timing from the design team,permittingteam and construction team. Will need to communicate to upper management any delays that cannot be mitigated. Coordinate and collaborate with the finance, planning, logisticsteams to ensure that all parties are aware of the project plan. Willbe responsible formaintenance of the overall budget.Will assign specific budgets to the design, permitting and construction teams and will ensure that these aremaintained. Shall gain approved extra work authorizations and extensions of time as needed to ensure that budgets and schedules are not adversely affected without justification and cause. Shall ensure that documentation is obtained for all project variances from each internal team. Shallbe responsible to ensure that all closeout documents and invoices are obtained from all parties prior to closing out the project and work order. Education and Experience BS degree in engineering: mechanical,electricalor other applicable field of study. A minimum of three (3)yearsworking experience in project-based engineering functions and construction project management. PMP certificationhighlypreferred. Ability to travelfrequentlyin the domestic U.S. to customer sites for infrastructure project management activities; up to 100% of the time.
