Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial management and reporting for various projects, with a focus on compliance, profitability analysis, and collaboration with project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction accounting and a proactive approach to optimizing processes and supporting business operations.
Responsibilities:
• Interpret and analyze project contracts to ensure financial and cost terms are accurately documented and adhered to.
• Prepare and update gross margin forecasts and detailed financial projections for effective revenue recognition and performance monitoring.
• Develop comprehensive project substantiations, ensuring all costs, markups, and billing align with contractual requirements.
• Maintain thorough documentation to support gross margin analysis and financial reporting processes.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and business leaders to deliver precise budget, forecasting, and performance insights.
• Handle third-party project audits by organizing accurate and defensible documentation.
• Manage the lien release process by coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain timely billing and cash flow.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing efficiency within evolving business areas.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000.

Requirements • Proven experience in project accounting, preferably within construction projects.
• Proficiency in Deltek Vision or similar project management accounting software.
• Strong skills in financial analysis, cost analysis, and profitability evaluations.
• Familiarity with gross margin analysis and cost-to-completion methodologies.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Ability to manage audits and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in financial documentation.
