The UW Medical Center – Montlake Operating Rooms have an outstanding opportunity for a Implant Coordinator (Program Coordinator) within the OR Implant Rooms.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Full-Time / 40 hours per week

• Day Shifts

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

• Responsibility for the daily operations of the OR Prosthesis Program pertaining to facilitation of implant availability, billing, expense, inventory management, and providing excellent customer service

• Have in-depth knowledge of implants, including their usage, application in surgery, tracking, and storage

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Notify vendor of implant needs and coordinate and confirm implant availability according to the OR schedule in advance of the procedure.

• Set up needed implants the day prior to surgery, including delivery and retrieval of implants to and from Operating Rooms on the day of surgery.

• Communicate with surgeons, nurses, vendors, and Supply Chain to resolve issues pertaining to availability of implants.

• Restock implant sets and facilitate their sterilization.

• Receive implants and related supplies into inventory. Examine products for quality, quantity, and exactness to original purchase order.

• Implant revenue and expense capture, including records capture, implant identification for billing and processing.

Strong candidates will have a bachelor's degree and demonstrated experience working with medical supplies and billing activities. Prior experience working with implants, receiving and distributing inventory and medical terminology in an OR environment are desired.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty, OR equivalent education/experience.
