Amazon Principal Finance Manager, AWS Infrastructure Finance in Seattle, Washington

Description

AWS is in the middle of one of the largest infrastructure investment cycles in history — building the physical foundation that powers cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the next generation of technology at a scale that has no precedent. The AWS Infrastructure Finance team is looking for a Principal to join a high-impact team working on some of the most complex and consequential financial decisions in the company.

This role sits within AWS Infrastructure Finance supporting data center growth and expansion. The work is analytical, strategic, and transaction-oriented. You will partner directly with senior business and finance leaders, own financial analysis on large, long-term commitments, and help shape how AWS finances its physical infrastructure at global scale.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Lead financial analysis and due diligence on large, complex, long-term infrastructure commitments

  • Develop financial models and frameworks that inform strategic decision-making at the senior leadership level

  • Partner cross-functionally with business, legal, accounting, and treasury teams to structure and execute transactions

  • Deliver data-driven recommendations to senior leaders

  • Develop the analytical frameworks and playbooks for a new and rapidly growing function within AWS Finance

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience

  • Experience with Tableau, Python, SQB, Quicksight, Cognos or or other BI packages

  • 8+ years of spearheading strategic cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable financial results and advance organizational objectives experience

  • 8+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience in investment banking, corporate development, equity research, or structured finance, particularly in infrastructure, real estate, or technology sectors

  • Familiarity with transaction structuring, capital markets, and financial due diligence processes

  • Experience building financial models for long-duration assets (10+ year horizons) including NPV/IRR analysis, scenario modeling, and sensitivity testing

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
