Providence St. Joseph Health Music Therapist - Oncology in Seattle, Washington

Description Providence Swedish is seeking a licensed Music Therapist to join our Oncology Outpatient Clinics. In this role, you will provide evidence-based music therapy interventions that reduce stress, strengthen coping skills, foster creative expression, and support the physical and emotional well-being of patients and families throughout the cancer journey. You will work as a core member of the Psychosocial Oncology Team-which includes Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Social Work, and Psychiatry-collaborating with medical staff to ensure an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to patient and family support. The position also provides opportunities for independent clinical practice, including both individual and group interventions, while expanding and embedding music therapy services across our oncology clinics. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree - Music Therapy from an American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) approved university program Washington Music Therapist License upon hire National Board Certification in Music Therapy upon hire Holds and maintain the Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) title Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training - Advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy Coursework/Training - Advanced training in Guided Imagery and Music 2 years of music therapy, medical setting preferred Why Join Providence Swedish? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
