Job Title: Marine Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician capable of accurately reading, interpreting, and applying drawings and specifications to determine installation requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical trade mathematics and formulas to effectively calculate voltage, amperes, and resistance requirements, ensuring the correct sizing and types of materials are used.
Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and apply technical drawings and specifications to determine installation requirements.
Calculate voltage, amperes, and resistance requirements using electrical trade mathematics and formulas.
Determine the appropriate size and type of materials such as controls, switches, distribution panels, fuses, cables, and conduit size.
Utilize electronic measuring devices such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
Troubleshoot and install electrical systems, ensuring connector qualification and proper wiring.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Strong working knowledge of electrical trade mathematics and formulas.
Ability to calculate voltage, amperes, and resistance requirements.
Experience in selecting and determining material sizes and types for installations.
Skilled in using electronic measuring devices like voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a Marine Electrician.
Connector qualification is a plus.
No specific certifications or medical clearances required.

Work at Vigor Shipyard in a shipyard environment that includes outdoor settings, shop areas, and onboard ships. Safety equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots will be provided. Embrace a hands-on role in a stimulating and diverse environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
