Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and collaborative Quality Assurance Engineer. In this hands-on role, you will be an acting participate in our testing lab activities. This will be a versatile role involving testing across desktop, mobile and physical (kiosk) installations.

You will work side-by-side with Product Managers to ensure features meet requirements and with UX/UI Designers and other creative stakeholders to ensure the final product fulfils our client's vision.

Responsibilities

Test Execution

  • Execute functional, regression, performance, and user-acceptance test plans on a variety of hardware and software builds.

  • Set up, configure, and maintain complex test environments, installing OS multiple versions, and managing device inventory.

  • Develop unified test strategies that cover a wide surface of Kiosk, PC, Cloud, and native iOS/Android apps.

  • Perform comprehensive functional, usability, and regression testing CMS platforms ([e.g., Contentful, AEM, Sitecore, YCD C-nario, or a custom-built system]).

  • Test CMS components, templates, user roles/permissions, and publishing workflows to ensure they are intuitive and bug-free for our content author

Hardware‑Software Validation

  • Validate kiosk peripherals (touchscreen, cameras, sensors) while ensuring they interact correctly with web/mobile back‑ends.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

  • Act as a point of contact for staff and field technicians encountering issues in the field.

  • Diagnose device‑specific issues (OS version compatibility, browser incompatibilities, network drops) and guide users through resolution steps.

  • Escalate complex cross‑platform bugs with detailed reproduction steps and logs.

Automation & Tooling

  • Identify repeatable UI scenarios for automation (Selenium/WebDriver for web, Appium, etc. for mobile.

  • Craft pipelines that run cross‑browser/device suites on cloud labs (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)

Documentation & Reporting

  • Produce test summary reports, UI‑coverage matrices, and release readiness sign‑offs for each platform.

  • Maintain a shared knowledge base with troubleshooting guides, device‑setup instructions, and UI‑testing best practices.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience

  • 3+ years of QA/testing experience, preferably with kiosk, web, and/or mobile applications.

  • Hands‑on testing of Windows‑based PC software and modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) or native mobile apps (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin).

Technical Skills

  • Strong grasp of software testing methodologies (exploratory, regression, cross‑platform).

  • Proficiency with test‑management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).

  • Ability to capture and succinctly report UI defects.

  • Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and environment setup.

  • Familiarity with device‑lab tools (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab) and emulators/simulators

  • Understanding of networking basics, peripheral interfaces, and OS update cycles.

  • Experience with automated UI frameworks: Selenium/WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.

  • JavaScript, Python, or similar scripting languages.

Behavior Skills

  • Excellent communication – can translate technical UI findings for designers, marketers, and project managers.

  • Detail oriented, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple platforms simultaneously.

  • Able to interface with multiple project stakeholders and internally prioritize tasks.

Compensation Range: $88,540 - $135,632. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
