UW Medical Center - Montlake – Emergency Department Registration/Admitting has an outstanding opportunity to hire a Manager of Program Operations.
WORK SCHEDULE
100% FTE (40 hours per week)
Monday – Friday
Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Provide operational leadership for Emergency Department Registration and Admitting at Montlake Hospital.
Ensures efficient, accurate, and compassionate patient intake experiences while supporting revenue cycle integrity and regulatory compliance.
Leads teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and collaborates across departments to drive continuous improvement and patient satisfaction.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and oversee daily operations of patient access teams across ED, Admitting, clinic, and surgical check-in areas.
Ensure timely, accurate patient registration, admissions, insurance verification, and point-of-service collections.
Develop and optimize workflows to balance speed and accuracy, particularly in emergency department settings.
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for 24/7 operations.
Monitor data accuracy for patient demographics and insurance to support clinical care and billing processes.
Ensure compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Conduct audits, analyze issues, and implement corrective actions to improve quality and performance.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to enhance patient experience, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare patient access or a related field, with emphasis on revenue cycle processes.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
