Harborview Medical Center Environmental Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Hospital Custodian Supervisor .
WORK SCHEDULE
100% FTE (40 hours per week)
Night Shift, 11:00pm-7:30am
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Supervise a team of 25+ custodians and one Custodial Supervisor
Train staff and manage administrative tasks such as supply levels, staffing needs, training requirements, and department procedures

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a second-line supervisor in the custodial department
Interview and recommend candidates, conduct training, schedule work, handle leave requests, complete evaluations, and recommend disciplinary actions
Determine staffing needs, analyze workloads, and assign duties accordingly
Train new hires in the Housekeeping and Linen departments
Supervise day shift custodial staff in the Trauma Emergency Room to ensure proper cleaning procedures
Inspect facilities, monitor hand hygiene compliance, retrain staff when needed, and report to the Operations Manager
Prepare custodial reports, including equipment inventories and procedural documentation
REQUIRMENTS
Three years of experience in custodial or general maintenance work
Two years of experience as a Custodian Supervisor 1
Equivalent education and experience may substitute for required qualifications
