Summary
As a Engineering Program Manager (EPM) within Apple Services Engineering (ASE) Human Evaluation, Insights and Science organization, you will play a critical role in driving the development and deployment, and governance of machine learning (ML) models and AI systems that align with the ethical principles and Apple’s corporate policies. This role requires strategic leadership, strong cross-functional collaboration, and technical expertise to ensure Natural Language Search (NLS) technologies are safe, equitable, and trustworthy.
Description
You will work closely with engineering, policy, risk management, legal, and product teams to operationalize Responsible AI principles, develop scalable frameworks, and deliver innovative solutions that adhere to the highest ethical standards.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience in program or product management, preferably in AI, machine learning, or a related field.
Familiarity with AI/ML tools, frameworks, and deployment pipelines.
Experience working in regulated industries or adhering to compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of global AI policies, regulations, and standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional engineering programs.
Strong technical background, with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams.
Ability to translate abstract ethical principles into tangible technical solutions.
Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to leadership.
Strong understanding of Responsible AI principles, including fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics.
Excellent risk management and mitigation skills, especially in AI/ML contexts.
