About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Carbon market instruments, including those representing clean energy, are a key lever of our operational and value chain decarbonization roadmap. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our growing portfolio of carbon market instruments, as well as owning analytics related to market instrument procurement across our portfolio. As part of these efforts, you will work with various partners to obtain data, interpret it into actionable insights, and ensure that we build and improve upon scalable infrastructure and new data capabilities. You will also be responsible for providing relevant metrics, portfolio insights and analysis to support and guide our strategic decarbonization efforts. As our strategy progresses, you will lead the identification of new gaps and analytics needs and work with the appropriate partner teams to develop the tools, processes and best practices supporting such new features.
The Global Sustainability team enables Google to build a more sustainable future for everyone by driving strategy and solutions. We drive the development and implementation of Google’s global sustainability strategy to further empower action, ensure alignment and prioritization, identify leadership opportunities, and mitigate risks. We drive sustainability strategy and programs on carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, while serving as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.
