Data Scientist, Analytics (Multiple Positions), DoorDash, Inc., Seattle, WA. Use quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand what drives business. Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools. Build feature engineering pipelines for customer and logistics data. Produce recommendations and use statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate findings. Provide insights to help business and product leaders understand marketplace dynamics, user behaviors, and long-term trends. Identify and measure levers to help move essential metrics and make recommendations. Work backwards from understanding and sizing problems to ideating solutions. Report against goals by identifying essential metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track progress. Collaborate with engineering to implement, document, validate, and monitor the logging. Telecommuting Permitted. (DSA-B-102-WA2).
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $196,914 to $268,200/yr. Standard company benefits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Systems Management, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the field of Data Management, Data Analytics, or related occupation.
In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Systems Management, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field of study and six (6) years of experience (at least 5 years of which is progressive, post-bachelors) in the field of Data Management, Data Analytics, or related occupation.
Qualifying experience must include at least 4 years in the following skills (which may be gained concurrently):
- Python or R;
- SQL;
- A/B testing;
- Prefect, or similar;
- Data structure & algorithm;
- Business Analysis;
- Experimentation;
- Statistic Analysis; and
- Data Engineering (i.e. -- ETL handling).
Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
Up to 10% travel (domestic) based on business need.
