Zillow, Inc. seeks Data Engineer in Seattle, WA. Job Duties: Design, implement, and support a secure, scalable data platform that enables access to large and complex datasets across Finance, HR, and other enterprise functions. Engage directly with stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver optimized, actionable data solutions. Develop robust ETL pipelines using modern ETL methodologies and technologies to integrate data from SaaS and on-prem sources into enterprise data warehouses. Perform relational and dimensional data modeling to support analytical and operational needs. Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for high-performance data processing, while applying best practices in debugging and performance tuning. Build and maintain BI dashboards and reporting systems using industry-standard BI tools, enabling self-service analytics and operational insights. Ensure data quality through thorough validation techniques and enforce data governance practices to maintain consistency and compliance. Conduct detailed root cause analysis and manage defect tracking to resolve issues impacting data accuracy and availability. Provide end-to-end production support, including system troubleshooting and change impact analysis. Document technical specifications, maintain metadata lineage, and collaborate in Agile development environments. Telecommuting Permitted. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained.
