System One Business Operations Associate in Seattle, Washington

Job Title: Business Operations Associate

Location: Seattle, WA

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50.00 - $57.13/hr

Work Model: Hybrid

Hours: Mon-Fri (normal business hours)

Responsibilities

  • Support procurement activities by coordinating capital equipment purchases, laboratory supplies, contracts, invoicing, and spend tracking

  • Gather specifications, documentation, and approvals for capital equipment requests

  • Collect supplier quotations and route materials for review and approval

  • Create and track purchase requisitions and purchase orders in compliance with internal procedures

  • Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and installation milestones

  • Coordinate communication between Lab Operations, Facilities, and vendors to ensure delivery and equipment readiness

  • Review laboratory supply requests for accuracy and approval, execute purchase orders, and maintain records

  • Track invoice statuses, identify discrepancies, support invoice reconciliation within P2P systems, and escalate issues as needed

  • Maintain organized procurement documentation for audit compliance

  • Assist with special projects, follow SOPs, and support continuous learning of procurement systems and policies

    Requirements

  • Required Bachelor's degree in business administration, scientific discipline, or equivalent qualification

  • 3+ years supporting procurement or operational roles

  • Experience or strong interest in procurement, supply chain, or operations

  • Exposure to purchasing, invoicing, or financial systems preferred

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple priorities

  • Effective communication skills across teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Willingness to learn procurement systems and processes

  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail

  • Collaborative and service-oriented mindset; comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders
