The Branch Manager is a dynamic, results-oriented leader responsible for the overall performance, growth and success of a WaFd branch. This high-impact role focuses on driving business development and sales, particularly with small businesses, while growing deposits, originating loans, and expanding client relationships through cross-selling additional services. The Branch Manager is responsible to lead, coach and develop a high-performing team to achieve growth goals, deliver outstanding customer service, and ensures compliance with regulatory and operational standards. Branch Managers must: Reflect the corporate values of WaFd Bank, including integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline and service. Conduct themselves in accordance with company ethics standards at all times. Demonstrate professionalism in all communication and consistently be kind. Meet performance metrics and production goals. Coach, motivate, mentor and provide feedback to staff. Ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and OFAC regulations. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field. 5+ years in banking, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role; prior sales or client relations experience, preferred. Proven success in small business development, deposit/loan growth, and cross-selling. Strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and operational procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), keyboarding, and digital banking tools. Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
