Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)Northwest Region is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer (WMS2) for the Snohomish/King County Construction Office in Seattle, WA. Reporting to the Project Engineer, this position is responsible for assisting in the leadership, management, and delivery of assigned highway construction projects within the region's Capital Improvement and Preservation Program. This role applies advanced engineering and management principles to support the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of complex construction contracts while ensuring compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements. The Assistant Project Engineer also contributes to integrating projects into the surrounding environment, maintaining mobility for all users, and minimizing impacts to the traveling public through effective planning, coordination, and implementation of construction activities.
