Job Title: Machine Operator Trainee (2nd and 3rd shift in Sealy TX)
Job Description
This role offers hands-on training in the production area of a copper manufacturing facility. You will work closely with experienced machine operators to learn all aspects of operating production equipment, supporting manufacturing processes, and maintaining a safe and efficient work area.
Responsibilities
Train alongside experienced machine operators to learn all facets of machine operation in a copper manufacturing environment.
Support production activities by performing general labor tasks such as material handling, staging, and basic equipment support.
Follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent product quality and efficient workflow.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and operate safely around heavy machinery and moving equipment.
Stand, walk, and perform physical tasks on the production floor for 10–12 hours per shift as needed.
Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter to support safe and efficient operations.
Adhere to all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, or safety concerns.
Assist with basic checks and observations of machinery to help identify potential issues and support maintenance teams.
Contribute to a positive team environment by being reliable, punctual, and willing to learn new tasks.
Essential Skills
Experience in manufacturing, production, or labor-intensive warehouse work.
Ability to stand and perform physical tasks on your feet for 10–12 hours per shift.
Strong safety mindset and comfort working around machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Reliability and willingness to work assigned shifts, including evenings or nights as needed.
Ability to follow instructions, learn new processes quickly, and apply feedback.
Basic teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with experienced operators and colleagues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Any prior experience or training in safety within a manufacturing facility is a plus.
Previous experience in a high-volume production or industrial setting is beneficial.
Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Willingness to cross-train and learn multiple tasks within the production area.

Work Environment
You will work in a non-climate-controlled, expansive copper manufacturing facility with approximately 250 colleagues. The environment includes active machinery, production lines, and ongoing construction in certain areas, which can contribute to dust and clutter, although individual workstations remain clean and organized. The role is physically demanding and requires being on your feet for extended periods, often 10–12 hours. Shifts are available on 2nd shift (4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) with a shift differential, and 3rd shift (12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.) with a higher shift differential. You will work in standard industrial attire appropriate for a manufacturing setting, along with any required personal protective equipment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
