We are seeking an experienced and proactiveDirectional Drilling Crew Supervisor(HDD Foreman) to oversee directional drilling operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will manage a drilling crew, ensure project compliance with safety and quality standards, and ensure timely completion for projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of directional drilling crews, including operators and laborers.

  • Safely operate a pick-up truck or bigger while towing a trailer.

  • Oversee daily on-site operations to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to project deadlines and address any issues that arise.

  • Review project plans and specs to ensure accurate execution of drilling activities.

  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Provide training and guidance to crew members on equipment operation, safety procedures and best practices.

  • Communicate effectively with management to report progress and address concerns.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to drilling activities, including progress reports, redlines, incident reports and call in Dig tickets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • This role requires the operation of a company vehicle. A valid CDL-A license is required, acceptable driving record, and the ability to maintain insurability under the company's auto policy are essential.

  • Strong knowledge of directional drilling techniques, safety practices, and equipment maintenance.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a crew.

  • Extensive experience in directional drilling operations, including previous experience in a supervisory role.

  • Basic computer skills including basic understanding of Excel, Adobe, Outlook.

  • Basic knowledge of construction safety practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.

  • Good communications skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to scoop, bend, and lift up to 75lbs.

  • Ability to work in the following environments: Outside. Hot, cold, rain, snow.

  • Ability to travel out of state when required.

  • Ability to be on call.

Compensation:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The hourly pay-range for this position is $35.00/hr - $45.00/hr.The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
