Insight Global Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Scottsdale, Arizona
Job Description
Lead innovative product development from early concept through manufacturing release
Drive ideation and creative problem‑solving for subsystem‑ and system‑level mechanical architectures
Build and evaluate high‑fidelity proof‑of‑concept prototypes to validate design intent and performance
Perform detailed mechanical analysis including FEA, tolerance stack‑ups, and experimental testing to ensure reliability and functionality
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners, including domestic and international teams, across design, industrial design, electrical engineering, and manufacturing
Operate effectively in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy
Continuously grow technical expertise while contributing to a culture focused on learning, development, and design excellence

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
10-12+ years of mechanical product design experience in consumer electronics industry
Proficiency in Creo
Experience designing plastic injection molded, stamped metal, die-cast, and machined components
Proficient in integrating mechanical designs with PCBAs, PCBs, electro-mechanical assembles, and flex circuits
Demonstrated ownership of DFM/DFA principles for high volume manufacturing
IP-rated designs experience
