Description
We are looking for a skilled 1+ Year Civil Litigation Attorney to join our law firm client's team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle a diverse array of legal matters, including motion practices, discovery, depositions, and court hearings. Trial experience is valued but not required, and we provide a competitive compensation package with growth potential.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and file legal motions, pleadings, and other court documents.
• Conduct discovery processes, including gathering and analyzing evidence and preparing discovery responses.
• Represent clients in depositions and court hearings, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated.
• Collaborate with clients to provide legal advice and develop case strategies tailored to their unique situations.
• Manage multiple case files efficiently, maintaining accurate documentation and meeting deadlines.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation to resolve disputes effectively.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and argumentation.
• Prepare for and assist in trial proceedings, including witness preparation and evidence presentation.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable legal and ethical standards.
• Stay updated on changes in civil litigation laws and regulations to provide informed counsel.
Requirements • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation practice.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle a high volume of work efficiently.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for drafting documents and presenting cases.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills to assess legal issues and develop strategies.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic legal environment.
