Responsibilities
The Manager works collaboratively with the Director to develop and implement strategic plans. Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, orienting, training scheduling and managing approximately 200-400 not including influx of 100 student volunteers during the summer volunteers. Assists with campus-wide program operations, which encompasses over 700 volunteers ages 15-98. Performs duties independently and initiates judgement in handling a variety of management issues and communications, including capability assessments, performance management and conflict resolution. Provides oversight and management of volunteer services which include multidisciplinary teams at multiples campuses and locations. Develops, implements and oversees approved new programs and service are offerings. Responsible for organizing and executing volunteer events from concept to completion. Manger is accountable for and ensures compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Volunteer Management or related field and five -years of volunteer management experience required. CAVS (Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services) or related hospital volunteer certification preferred. Effective communication and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Proficient technology skills and adept at leveraging volunteer management platforms, social media platforms, and web applications. Demonstrates ability to design, teach and facilitate training. Ability to interact with all ages and diversities.
