Duties may include Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: operate various equipment/farm trucks/farm tractors for planting, spraying and harvesting of crops. Clean/maintain/repair machinery and equipment. Grain handling, hauling farm commodities. Maintain farm grounds/mow. Precondition and maintain cattle: Monitor birthing of baby calves, hay all cattle, haul water to cattle, mix feed, monitor health, vaccinate. Operate feed truck/pay loader. Clean pens. Put up/maintain fence. Manure hauling. May haul cattle to market. Other miscellaneous duties assigned. This job involves manual labor, lifting, carrying, long days in the heat. Rain days are typically spent in the shop repairing equipment and preparing for the next day\'s work & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org). Crops: wheat, milo, corn, sunflowers Possible weekend/holiday work.
The employer will furnish cooking facilities, utilities, and utensils for workers to prepare their own meals in the housing provided kitchen. Included basic appliances will consist of, but is not limited to, refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink with hot and cold-water connections. All appliances included will be in good, working condition for the workers. Employer will provide transportation to grocery store at least once a week for workers who wish to shop for food.
The employer will provide transportation between the housing provided or secured by the employer and the employers work site at no cost to the worker. All employer-provided transportation will comply with all applicable local, State, or Federal laws and regulations, and will provide, at a minimum, the same transportation safety standards, driver licensure, and vehicle insurance as required under 29 U.S.C. 1841, 29 CFR 500.104 or 500.105, and 29 CFR 500.120 through 500...
