About the role
The Category Insights Manager leads category management and insights across priority categories within the ANZ business. Reporting to the Head of Category, Strategy & Planning, this role is responsible for delivering actionable insights that inform category strategy, range reviews, business planning and major retail event execution.
The role also manages a small team responsible for category reporting and analytics while working closely with Sales, Marketing and regional stakeholders to identify and support priority growth opportunities for the business.

Qualifications & Experience
University degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or similar discipline
5+ years’ experience in Category Management, Insights or Analytics
Strong experience working with Nielsen, IRI or equivalent data sources
FMCG or General Merchandise industry experience
Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience managing or mentoring team members
High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
Key Areas of Responsibility
Category Strategy & Insights
Lead ANZ monthly and quarterly category reporting
Deliver actionable insights to support range reviews and category planning
Identify category growth opportunities across customers and channels
Support major retail events and business planning cycles
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to drive category growth strategies
Present category insights and recommendations to retail partners
Support regional and global reporting requirements
Data & Analysis
Analyse market and shopper data using Nielsen, IRI or similar platforms
Translate complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations
Maintain regular reporting to support performance tracking
Team Leadership
Lead and develop Category and Business Analysts
Ensure high standards of data accuracy, reporting and insight generation
