Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. We are seeking dedicated individuals with experience in manufacturing or production, ideally with experience in operating, packing, extrusion, thermoforming, or plastics. This role involves working in a fast-paced, manual operation environment, focusing on quality control to ensure we produce the best products in the industry.
Responsibilities
Palletize custom fabricated sheet metal components into a ready-to-ship, kit form.
Assemble new step kits with a basic understanding of the process.
Identify different size skids and operate banders effectively.
Recognize and address defective parts, such as bad clinches or dents.
Understand and follow work instructions, production standards, safety procedures, quality standards, and SOPs.
Perform quality checks on parts and learn to read prints/documents.
Monitor and review existing standards, suggesting improvements to maintain or exceed company quality standards.
Complete production and quality data sheets accurately.
Essential Skills
0-5 years of machine operating or production experience.
0-5 years of operating/packing experience.
Experience with extrusion, thermoforming, or plastics is a plus.
Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
Proficient math skills.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Previous forklift operation experience preferred.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills and time management.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with peers.

Work Environment
This position is in the extrusion department within a 24/5 manufacturing environment. We are a family-oriented team with 40-50 employees across three shifts. The work environment can be dirty and hot in the summers and cold in the winters.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schuylkill Haven, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr.
