Position Summary
The Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing, cleansing, and maintaining data. The role is intended to research and analyze issues and provide solutions that will improve internal processes, systems, and departmental performance. The Procurement Analyst must exercise sound independent judgment and strong analytical skills to identify problems and recommend solutions on behalf of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Identify areas within the department that need updating or improving, often in cooperation with the warehouse, logistics, IT, customer service and business units.
Support management of current and future projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and results monitoring.
Leverage available sources and systems to perform data collection, report generation, operation analysis, and strategy implementation.
Generate weekly/monthly procurement reports.
Identify trends and errors by conducting an earnings review of assigned projects.
Proactively investigate and research potential operational improvements through verbal discussion and creation of supporting analytic reports.
Prepare project documents, timelines, and status reports.
Recommend optimal inventory levels by SKU using input from operations and sales.
Monitor the quality, delivery, and level of customer service of each supplier. Resolve issues as they arise.
Improve the performance and efficiency of supplier management, supplier qualification, and the supplier ordering process.
Work with internal cross-functional partners to drive operational and process improvements.
Engage in and own certain daily direct and indirect activities as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Bachelor’s degree required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement or related functions, including customer service, supplier management, and logistics, is required.
Experience with inventory analysis desired.
Demonstrated process improvement and problem-solving skills through data analytics and logical thinking.
Excellent problem-solving, detail-oriented, training/material retention, interpersonal, and conflict management skills required.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, Excel/Access/SQL/Tableau required.

Pay Rate: $27.50 - $29.50/hr
