Guthrie Sr Director, Logistics & Dist - Supply & Distribution - Full Time in Sayre, Pennsylvania
Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Procurement–Supply Chain, the Senior Director, Logistics & Distribution serves as the enterprise leader responsible for the design, integration, and execution of efficient, cost-effective inventory management and logistics strategies across Guthrie. This role provides strategic and operational oversight for system-wide supply chain distribution functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, financial stewardship, quality standards, and service excellence across all clinical and ancillary service lines. Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and develop tactical plans for logistics, inventory management, and distribution operations across Guthrie facilities and campuses.
Oversee perpetual and periodic inventory management processes supporting all departments, including surgical, nursing, diagnostic, procedural, and ancillary areas.
Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and staff to ensure high performance, engagement, and operational consistency.
Monitor operational and financial performance metrics; develop and implement action plans to achieve targeted outcomes and efficiencies.
Ensure fiscal accountability through budget oversight, cost control, and corrective action planning as needed.
Manages relationships with key executive stakeholders and collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to design and sustain compliant, customer-focused materials management processes.
Serve as a subject matter expert and internal consultant for materials management systems, policies, procedures, and issue resolution.
Represent Logistics & Distribution on organizational committees, projects, and quality improvement initiatives.

Experience:
Required
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in logistics, materials management, or supply chain operations.
At least 5 years of leadership experience managing managers and/or supervisors.
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, cost analysis, standard costing, statistical control, and process improvement methodologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare supply chain information systems.
Preferred
Healthcare supply chain experience encompassing procurement, receiving, distribution, replenishment, and equipment management.
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred: Master’s Degree
Essential Functions:
Direct and oversee all logistics and distribution operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Allocate staffing resources appropriately to meet operational demands; support leaders with scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management.
Plan, coordinate, and administer operational, financial, administrative, and technical functions of materials management.
Serve as an operational and technical resource for issue resolution, education, and system optimization.
Participate in quality improvement activities, including identification of improvement opportunities, data collection, and quality team engagement.
Perform other duties as required to support organizational objectives.
