Global Foundries Junior Engineer for Power Technology Development in Process Integration in Saxony, Germany

Introduction

As a fresh graduate in this role, you will assist with process integration tasks for advanced power semiconductor technologies, including our BCD and BCDlite ® platforms. We are seeking individuals with a foundational understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, strong analytical abilities, a practical approach to problem solving, and the capability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. These qualities are essential for your success as you begin your engineering career with us.

Your Job

  • Contribute to the development of next g eneration high performance power technologies, including BCDlite ® and BCD, at Fab 1 in Dresden.

  • Support the development and qualification of FEOL or BEOL process modules.

  • Work closely with device and process module engineers to help achieve performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets.

  • Collaborate with colleagues at our sister fabs in the USA and Asia to align technology performance across sites and different toolsets.

  • Interact with internal and external foundry customers as part of ongoing development work.

  • Assist in meeting development milestones and in transferring qualified processes to the production team.

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or another relevant field .

  • Knowledge of basic statistics. Basic data plotting and statistical analysis skills.

  • Knowledge of FEOL or BEOL process integration. Basic understanding of semiconductor processes and tools (Lithography, etch, CVD, wet process, etc.).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills .

  • Fluency, both written and spoken in English is essential.

  • Highly driven, proactive, and equipped with a strong sense of urgency in achieving goals.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of German language or a willingness to learn is desirable but not essential.
