Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking for a new challenge? This position will be responsible for safely operating compressor stations ensuring safety and reliability. This is a maintenance and operations position based in Savona, BC.
What you will do
Complete the Operator Qualifications Training program for each station within your region as required.
Operate and maintain all facility equipment at station(s) throughout the region as required.
Complete all required safety, operations, and maintenance training.
Create/review procedures.
Must be willing to work away from home if required and able to work On Call and Overtime.
Work with support groups (Planner/Finance/Pipeliners, etc).
Be capable of working all applicable Unifor 4960 shifts.
Who you are
You have the following qualifications and skills:
Required:
Millwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Journeyperson
3 – 5 years related work experience
Valid driver’s license
High School Diploma
4th Class or Higher Power Engineer
Preferred:
Experience Working on Turbines
Experience working in the Oil & Gas Industry
Experience operating a compressor station
Ability to multi-task and change duties quickly.
Demonstrated self-starter.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Able to carry out daily duties with minimal supervision and support
