Description
CAE is seeking qualified pilots to join the Second‑in‑Command Mentor (SCM) Program, an on‑call role designed to provide right‑seat support to clients attending FAA‑approved 14 CFR Part 142 training programs at CAE training facilities.
SCMs support clients during simulator training sessions by acting as a qualified crew member, contributing to a professional, safe, and customer‑focused learning environment. Supporting simulator training and evaluation events, including those conducted by CAE or regulatory authorities
Maintaining proficiency as a qualified crew member, even when not type‑rated in the aircraft
Delivering a high‑quality training experience that emphasizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and customer service
Upholding CAE training, safety, and professionalism standards at all times
This is an on‑call position with scheduling based on client demand and candidate availability.

Availability to support a minimum of 35 training events within a rolling 12‑month period to remain current
Ability to work up to 11 hours per day, with simulator sessions typically not exceeding 6 consecutive hours
Flexibility to work any day of the week and at any time of day, based on availability and operational needs
Ability to commit to scheduled training events once accepted
Ability to meet all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements
Ability to work minimum 10–15 days per month, with shifts scheduled in blocks of at least 5 hours
