Location: Savannah, GA | Schedule: 8am to 5pm | Payrate: $80.52/hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Structures MRB Engineer to lead high-impact engineering initiatives. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and driving innovative solutions in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
As a key technical authority, you will work on engineering projects that involve critical challenges requiring advanced technical expertise, independent judgment, and innovative problem-solving. Your work will directly influence aircraft structural integrity, production efficiency, and engineering standards across major aerospace programs.
Role Overview
The Engineer will lead complex engineering projects and provide authoritative technical guidance across structural engineering activities. This role requires deep expertise in aircraft structures and MRB (Material Review Board) engineering, with the ability to analyze nonconformances and develop effective repair solutions while supporting production and program schedules.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead and manage engineering projects of significant complexity within defined program scope
Analyze aircraft structural nonconformances and create engineering dispositions for composite and metallic structures
Develop repair solutions that maintain equivalent strength and stiffness relative to surrounding aircraft structures
Provide technical guidance and authoritative recommendations impacting engineering activities and production outcomes
Apply advanced engineering principles, theories, and concepts to complex aerospace structural challenges
Evaluate and optimize engineering solutions to meet technical, cost, and schedule objectives
Support production teams in a schedule-driven manufacturing environment
Develop standards, best practices, and technical guides for engineering activities
Investigate complex engineering issues where established precedents may not exist
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and program leadership
Utilize engineering tools and systems to support design, analysis, and documentation
Provide technical input for aircraft modifications and structural improvements when required
Perform additional duties as assigned to support program objectives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline , or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 10 years of dedicated Structures MRB Engineering experience at a recognized aerospace manufacturer
Experience developing engineering dispositions for composite and metallic aircraft structures , including both pressurized and non-pressurized structures
Experience working across major aircraft components including wing, fuselage, and empennage
Ability to analyze structural issues and design repairs that maintain structural integrity and performance
Experience working in production or schedule-driven aerospace environments
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with engineering software and tools such as Catia V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Corridor, Word, and Excel
Ability to apply advanced technical principles and exercise independent engineering judgment
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience supporting aircraft modification programs
Extensive experience leading large-scale engineering investigations and technical initiatives
Proven ability to develop innovative engineering methods, procedures, and technical standards

Pay Details: $80.52 per hour
