Job Summary and Qualifications
The Hospital Project Manager Plant Operation coordinates construction/project management activities from conception through Open House including but not limited to: coordinating user/architect meetings, contract documents, bidding, construction, budgets, scheduling, space management, and turn-over. The Project Manager also performs special projects in support of the hospital mission, vision and facility goals including: Power Point presentations, usage analysis, etc. Other duties include: interfacing with Ltd., physicians, vendors, contractors, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, the Engineering Department, key user groups, patients, and executive management; periodically acts as liaison within hospital and corporate office; identifying opportunities and remedies through continuous peer satisfaction and employee involvement, planning, coordinating, and participating in utility shutdowns; coordinating with Engineering Department for staff support in construction activities; providing project inspection and coordination on a daily basis in conjunction with contractor superintendents; maintaining Capital and Operating Budgets. The Project Manager is also expected to participate periodically in strategic committees including Construction Committees, Equipment Committees, Process Improvement Teams, and Information Management Committee. There will be occasional night and weekend work that will be part of Utility shutdowns and this position will be responsible for all communication needed for successful shutdowns.
What qualifications you will need:
5+ years of experience in healthcare construction experience required
Familiar with CMS and Joint Commission requirements highly preferred
Estimating and project scheduling experience required
