The
CNC Machine Operator will
be responsible for preparing and setting up the CNC machine before production begins, loading the necessary programs into the CNC machine for machining, monitoring the machining process to ensure that everything is running smoothly and according to the specifications, inspecting the finished product for accuracy and quality, making any necessary adjustments, performing scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting to keep the machine in optimal working condition, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed during operation to prevent accidents and provide a safe working environment, reducing material waste through precise programming of CNC machines for accurate cutting and polishing stones, setting up machinery, lathes, and grinders manually, assisting with maintaining inventory by tracking materials and tools to keep resources readily available and easily accessed, assessing equipment after each production; running and performing preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly, optimizing tool lives and reduced costs by selecting and testing new cutting materials and technologies, preventing the machine breakdown by maintaining proper lubrication and cooling during operation,
responsible for keeping records of all maintenance, productivity and cycle time logs, etc.
This position requires
a High-School diploma, 12 months of experience in CNC Operating. Must have a clear understanding of the daily operations of the CNC machine to maintain optimal production to achieve output levels per day set forth by the production manager, must have a good understanding about setting up new tooling, redressing tooling to keep tools clean and sharp for consistent quality finish, be able to complete projects within tight deadlines by prioritizing tasks strategically and work efficiently under pressure, understand the basics of CNC programming and be able to read and edit G-code, be attentive to detail, paying close attention to specifications and measurements to ensure high quality products, must have the mathematical skills for geometry and measurements necessary for programming and quality control of CNC machine tools, must have mechanical and electronic skills to troubleshoot and perform maintenance of the CNC machine, must have Problem Solving Skills and be able to find effective solutions, must have computer skills sufficient for programming and operating the CNC machine and tools. Certified Saberjet Operator [Park Industries] needed.
