Fabcon Precast Crane Oiler - Precast Industry in Savage, Minnesota
Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with the crane operator to erect precast concrete products
Responsible for keeping accessible areas within the swing radius of the rear of the rotating superstructure of the crane, either permanently or temporarily mounted, barricaded in such a manner as to prevent an employee from being struck or crushed by the crane
Assists in the efficient and safe transportation of the crane
Assists the operator in the movement of the crane
Assists in maintaining safety and maintenance logs for the crane
Ensures that the crane is kept in good operating condition
Basic Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating/maintaining heavy construction equipment
Other Required Qualifications:
Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions
Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct at all times
Ability to work from heights, including but not limited to ladders and aerial work platforms
Ability to obtain membership to a local union
General knowledge of construction practices
Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
Ability to travel extensively (50% of the time or more, including overnights) and work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with heavy equipment endorsement
Physical Requirements:
- Field: Must be able to traverse uneven ground, move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailer
Work Environment:
- Field: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles
