Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and modifying various parts using tools to meet the specifications required. You will maintain communication with your supervisor to ensure efficient production and complete daily documentation. You will uphold professionalism to enhance the company’s image with customers and adhere to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and modify parts using tools to meet specific specifications.

  • Communicate effectively with the supervisor to ensure efficient and timely production.

  • Complete and submit time costing sheet documentation daily.

  • Maintain professionalism to enhance the company’s image with customers.

  • Follow safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Clean the working area before leaving each job.

  • Attend and participate in departmental or company meetings.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Complete routine tasks according to departmental policies and procedures.

  • Work with direct supervision.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and production processes.

  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.

  • Mechanical and inspection knowledge, including schematic understanding and micrometer use.

  • Basic to intermediary knowledge of assembly production processes.

  • Proficiency in using hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certificate with experience.

  • Excellent math skills, including proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and working with fractions.

Work Environment

You will work in a growing manufacturing company that designs and manufactures machinery. The work schedule is the first shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The environment fosters creativity and personal growth in a supportive and friendly atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saugerties, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
