ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Coordinator is an integral part of our site Project Management team in organizing our ongoing projects. This involves monitoring project plans, schedules, document control, and organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. Liaising with owners and stakeholders to find solutions.
The Project Coordinator is the key lead to ensure compliance to all project documentation needs and to ensure project process controls are in place to allow for design compliance, revenue capture, cost control and safety compliance.
The Project Coordinator is integral in maintaining the capability of the Saskatoon Construction Group to increase construction revenue and capability. This includes actively participating in building a culture of agility, collaboration, and empowerment (ACE) enabling continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Document control: fulfilling, maintaining, facilitating, and following up on all RFI and transmittal processes while ensuring all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project and projects adhere to frameworks.
Creating, maintaining and monitoring project plans and project schedules.
Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings, including chairing and facilitating meetings where appropriate and distributing minutes to all project team members.
Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings and preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
Providing administrative support as needed and undertaking project tasks as required.
Developing project strategies while ensuring stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
Assist in correspondence with owner groups, subcontractors, third-party testing agencies, and other project stakeholders.
Assist in expediting invoicing and receiving progresses from owner and identify any sub-contractors that are restricted (Red/Amber) in Avetta and work with Operations/Contract Admin to rectify the restriction.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Degree in Engineering, Diploma from Technical Institute in Engineering, or Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.SC) in Civil Engineering
Required Work Experience: 3 years project coordination experience
Required Technical Skills: Computer proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications
Travel Requirements: N/A

Great problem solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and great organization skills
Good knowledge of construction industry
Capable of multi-tasking and managing priorities
High capacity of working under pressure and stress
Ability to effectively present information in writing, and respond to questions from a group of managers, clients, customers and the general public
Ability to calculate figures, amounts, such as proportions, percentages, area circumference and volume
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
