Sardinia Ready Mix Concrete Mixer Truck Driver - CDL in Sardinia, Ohio
Sardinia Ready Mix is a ready-mix concrete company located in Sardinia, Ohio, seeking an individual to be a concrete mixer driver.
The concrete mixer driver will drive a truck with an auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites.
Starting Hourly Wage: 30.75 | O/T Paid after 40 hrs/wk

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Checks the vehicle to ensure that the mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
Inspects loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
Drives a truck to the location for unloading.
Moves levers on the truck to release concrete down the truck chute into a wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into the area to be poured with concrete.
Cleans the truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in the mixer and on the truck.
Perform routine plant maintenance and general cleaning using small power tools and manual labor hand tools.
Complies with all safety requirements and policies and reports unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid CDL Class A or B driver's license and DOT medical card required.
Willing to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday.
Ability to read GPS, a city, or county map to navigate routes to work sites.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is to remain in a stationary position for 50 percent of the time while driving. The individual needs to frequently move about inside the shop and at customer locations, in and out of the truck, to load and unload concrete mix. They frequently ascend and descend a ladder to get in and out of the truck. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds to shoulder height. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other employees and customers throughout the day. Must be able to detect road hazards from short and long distances to determine what action needs to be taken. Must be able to lift, place, and set warehouse products as required during load preparation, loading, and unloading.
