North Platte Valley Medical Center, a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), is seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in the Emergency Department and acute care setting. Position Overview
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct and indirect patient care in both the Emergency Room and acute care settings. You will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with providers and the interdisciplinary team. This position requires strong critical thinking, leadership, and the ability to work independently as well as a team, in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately assess and monitor patients across all age groups to determine immediate and ongoing care needs.
Implement, evaluate, and revise treatment plans based on patient status and physician directives.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Act as a team leader by delegating appropriately and supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and pre-hospital providers to promote continuity of care.
Serve as a resource for staff and patients, providing education and guidance as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital policies, standards of care, and state scope of practice regulations.
Must have a teamwork mentality to be able to provide the best patient care.
- Must attend all mandatory departmental and facility wide meetings
Must maintain HIPAA complaint and follow policies regarding PHI.
- Being a positive leader to others while supporting the hospital goals
- Maintains an organized and timely change-of-shift report that enables all oncoming staff to hear report on all patients in the facility.
Qualifications
Current Wyoming Registered Nurse license (or compact state license).
Current BLS certification (required).
ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a team-based environment.
Background check, drug screening, and TB test required upon hire.
Schedule & Job Type
Full-Time | 12-hour shifts
These two positions that are available are night shift roles
NPVMC promotes a 12-hour, 7 on 7 off rotating schedule.
