Department, the Streets and Grounds Department provides a variety of
support services to the public ensuring a safe and thriving community.
Maintaining facilities ranging from recreation to transportation as well as
supporting the water and sewer department at various times.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented candidate to join our team. In
this role, you will perform a variety of operational, technical, and
administrative duties to support the department's activities. This is a career

Responsibility Examples:
- Operate applicable equipment in order to carry out the Town's snow plowing and removal program. I.e., dump truck, snowplow, loader, four-wheeler, sander,etc.
- Operate computer and some office equipment as required.
- Operate equipment as needed, skid steer, backhoe, grader, front end loader, street sweeper, roller etc.
- Perform maintenance operations at the Public Swimming Pool and Hobo Hot
- Springs Pools including cleaning facilities and maintaining equipment used to run the facility.
- Engage in grass and weed cutting on Town Properties, streets, and alleys.
- Perform maintenance on roads through grading, asphalt patching, chip sealing. Engage in all areas of street repair.
- Assist with and complete general maintenance to shop vehicles, equipment, and buildings.
- Maintaining green space facilities including mowing, irrigation, playground equipment, trees, shrubs, tables etc.
- Cleaning and maintaining the Town's public restrooms.
- Assist with the Town's Mosquito Abatement Program. I.e. ULV fogging operation.
- Attend training and continuing education classes as required.
- Performing related work and other duties as assigned by the Public Works Director and/or Department Foreman. Such as assisting the water and sewer department.
