Compensation
Hourly Pay Rate: $22.60 - $24.24 Per hour
Job Summary
The Laborer is tasked with performing all necessary duties to keep our plants producing and providing product for customers including routine maintenance, plant operation, plant clean up and equipment operation. Laborers are required to constantly tour, observe and maintain all working parts of the facilities.
Safety
Participating actively in company safety programs, including safety huddles, one-on-one safety conversations, and reporting of close calls
Fostering the safety culture by making good/safe decisions
Participating in safety incident investigation and following through on any corrective actions
Following all safety policies and procedures, including LOTOTO, Motor Vehicle Policy, Drug & Alcohol Policy, etc.
Wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all tasks assigned.
Working with plant team to continuously improve our safety practices.
Quality
- Identifying issues in equipment that will affect the quality of the product Identifying and reporting changes in production
Functional Technical Skills
Performing pre-shift inspections of assigned equipment
Lubricating assigned plant & fleet equipment adding necessary fluid to any and all reservoirs noting any additions
Identifying, and reporting plant deficiencies to the plant team so they can be addressed in a timely manner for proper repair.
Performing maintenance and repairs with professionalism and quality in mind to maximize plant efficiency.
Maintaining plant facilities in a professional manner by keeping tools, equipment, and buildings clean and orderly.
Operating mobile equipment associated with plant operations including: skid steer, pressure hose, manlift, front end loader, off road haul truck and water truck
Teamwork/Communication
Working in a team environment; assisting co-workers and supervisors with assigned duties.
Communicating openly, honestly, and professionally with co-workers, supervisors, and all others.
Working alongside fellow employees to complete assigned tasks sometimes under adverse working conditions to meet goals set forth by management.
Education and Minimum Experience
Minimum high school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Previous field experience in asphalt manufacturing, concrete manufacturing, or construction is preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions
Ability to lift up to 75lbs
Ability to stand for hours at a time
Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, crawl, and climb ladders
Ability to work in heights and sometimes tight spaces
Ability to work in dusty environment

Have a solid understanding of mechanical systems including:
Power Transmission
Hydraulics
Pneumatics
Conveyor systems
Possess knowledge and abilities to perform general repairs on plant equipment using standard industrial tools.
Proven ability to work with others as a team
Responsible, reliable, and dependable
Knowledge of welding, cutting & fabrication
