As a Vendor Manager, you will play a pivotal role in owning end-to-end vendor relationships and services that span multiple categories and areas of our business. This cross-functional position offers the exciting opportunity to manage senior stakeholder relationships while developing and implementing new services that enhance our store experience for customers.
In this role, you will leverage your strong communication and collaboration skills to build meaningful vendor relationships, negotiate strategic partnerships, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives that enhance new projects, categories and services to our Amazon Store business. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs, develop strategic solutions, and implement services that create meaningful impact across the business. Key job responsibilities
Launch and manage new categories by developing strategies and implementing operational frameworks that align with business objectives
Build and maintain strategic vendor partnerships through contract negotiations, performance management, and clear communication of expectations to ensure quality product selection and delivery
Manage cross-functional initiatives and service life-cycles, delivering projects that impact multiple organizations while maintaining focus on customer experience enhancement
Define and implement new services that improve store experience by setting clear objectives, analyzing performance data, and driving improvements measured by specific metrics
Partner effectively with stakeholders across multiple business areas to build consensus, ensure alignment on requirements, and deliver results that meet business goals.
Apply relevant tools and methodologies to drive process improvements, track progress, and enhance operational excellence
Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment to identify and solve complex problems, making trade-offs between time, quality, and resources while maintaining program scope.
A day in the life
Your day will involve balancing ownership of several current services while supporting and leading the development of new products and services. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business areas, building consensus on priorities and solutions. In the morning, you might analyze performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities, then lead cross-functional meetings to align on implementation strategies. Afternoons could include facilitating discussions with senior stakeholders to secure resources and remove blockers, ensuring your programs stay on track.
About the team

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Excel and extracting data through varied reporting tools in order to drive and influence business decisions
Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools
Experience managing and negotiating contracts and vendor relationships
Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
Experience analyzing data metrics
Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
MBA or advanced degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related field
Experience launching new product categories or services in retail or e-commerce environments
Track record of delivering complex projects that impact multiple business areas
