Amazon Inventory Health Manager (OIH), Integrated Business Planning in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Description

The Inventory Health Manager drives strategic optimization of inventory across retail categories to maximize cash flow efficiency and operational performance. This role combines analytical rigor with vendor partnership and cross-functional influence to reduce excess inventory, improve supply chain velocity, and enhance profitability. You will own end-to-end inventory health strategy, leveraging automation and data-driven insights to scale impact across multiple product categories with direct P&L accountability.

Key job responsibilities

Strategic Inventory Optimization: Own inventory health performance across retail categories, identifying root causes of excess stock and implementing data-driven solutions to improve cash flow and reduce waste. Partner with supply chain and technical teams to optimize automated systems and manual processes.

Vendor Partnership & Negotiation: Build strategic relationships with vendors to negotiate return rights, damage allowances, and contractual terms that support inventory health objectives. Educate partners on performance expectations and collaborate on supply chain improvements.

Disposition & Promotional Strategy: Manage multiple disposition channels including promotional campaigns, markdowns, and vendor returns to maximize recovery value. Create and execute promotional strategies that drive conversion while maintaining margin targets.

Operational Excellence & Automation: Analyze weekly performance metrics, identify process improvement opportunities, and drive automation initiatives to scale inventory management capabilities. Influence technical and operational teams to adopt standards and enhance system performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with supply chain, operations, and technical stakeholders to improve data quality, forecast accuracy, and inventory positioning. Drive organizational alignment on inventory health targets and operational priorities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership

  • Experience in data analysis and extracting insights to make data-backed business decisions

  • Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams

  • Experience leading process improvements

  • supply chain, inventory management or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

  • Experience managing inventory in a retail or distribution setting

  • Experience working with essential tools of the trade, resume databases, and internet sourcing tools

  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in SQL Server/MySQL

  • Experience participating in or leading technical collaborations and creating alignment across diverse groups (e.g., hardware engineering, software engineering, program management)

  • Experience with purchasing or inventory management in e-commerce or retail

  • Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management

  • Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
